About the Founder
Stephen Howard
Stephen is a Dallas native and a Bishop Lynch Alumni. He attended DePaul University, on a scholarship,
and was the school's first player to achieve 1st team Academic All-American status. Stephen graduated
from DePaul University as the 5th leading scorer, and 5th leading rebounder in DePaul's history.
Making history as the first Dallas private school player to reach the NBA, his professional career spans
the NBA, and top level leagues throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Stephen is currently a
college basketball analyst for ESPN, and is part of the radio broadcasting team for DePaul's road games.
Stephen started Project Basketball, a 501c3 non-profit organization, as a way to share his experiences
and knowledge of basketball with Dallas area youth.
About the Head Coach
Erma Jackson
Erma played basketball for Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, under Coach Stan Benge, a Naismith and USA Today
Coach of the Year winner. Under his instruction, she earned a scholarship to Division I Liberty University. She helped
her Liberty team to a 30-1 record in 1998, winning a conference championship and a bid to the NCAA Final 64 Tournament.
Erma coached 4 years at Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, as well as various summer league and AAU teams. She is also
a member of the Carrollton Farmers Branch Officials Association, reffing girl's and boy's basketball year round.
